how do i do this? do i just heal it lots and do more damage?

Make sure you do most of the damage not the pet.Might want to read this to.

Just level it up alongside yourself in higher-level areas, and there's pretty much a 0% chance of it being anything but hearty.

Let it do a few damage (so the damage ratio is less than damage taken, dont go straight to ss/lb) then take it on some SS/LB runs if you need the points.

Theres plenty of guides around in different places, but hearty means taken more damage then dealt. Coz of that I wouldnt just take it in general pve, where itll get owned alot. That should make it hearty.
